At New Mind Horizons, we support school districts, charter networks, SELPA teams, and assessment agencies with bilingual school psychology services, led by founder Laura Marie Peguero, a credentialed bilingual school psychologist. We bring deep expertise in IEP strategy, behavioral consultation, neurodivergent support, and bilingual family engagement.

Laura Marie Peguero, Bilingual School Psychologist
Laura founded New Mind Horizons in 2024 after more than a decade in school psychology, including nine years at a SELPA and a year leading district-wide behavior programs at Pasadena Unified. She partners with California districts to deliver culturally responsive evaluations and strengthen communication between schools and Spanish-speaking families.
Laura holds a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school psychology, an M.A. in Educational Psychology, and certificates in mental health in schools, applied behavior analysis and assistive technology. Her approach combines rigorous, legally sound evaluation work with the warmth and clarity families need to feel like true partners in their child's education.

Our founder has worked in school psychology since 2012, in districts, a SELPA, and contract and virtual roles across Southern California.
9 years at a SELPA
NPS liaison and preschool and DHH psychologist at the Whittier Area Cooperative Special Education Program, working with districts, nonpublic schools and agencies.
